How to make a free website marketing video

You might think that you need lots of complicated and expensive hadware and software in order to make your own marketing video or movie promoting your website. Well you are wrong. This free tutorial will show you how to make your own marketing video in a few minutes. And what’s more, you can do it for FREE. Okay here we go… To use this method, you must use Microsoft Windows on your computer as your operating system. Windows comes bundled with softare called Windows Movie Maker, and that is what you will use to create a marketing video. You access it by clicking on the ‘Start’ button at the bottom left of your screen, then clicking on ‘Programs’ and finally ‘Windows Movie Maker’. When you first run the software you will see this: Down the left side of the screen are the various functional links. These include: Capture a video Edit a movie Finish movie Movie making tips Before you begin to make your short marketing video, I first want you to open your own website and take some screen grabs. Each screen grab should show part of the process of clicking through to your affiliate offer, or joining your mailing list etc. To take a screen grab, just press the Print Screen on your keyboard. It is located to the right of the F12 button on most keyboards. After you have pressed the Print Screen button, the image is held in the clipboard ready for you to paste into either an paint program, or into Word. I use Paint Shop Pro, but you can use any image editing software. You should resize and crop each image so it is clear. You can also add text to your screen grabs if you think they will add value and make things a bit clearer for a viewer. I have done something very similar on the sample video I have made illustrating the concept. (See below) Once you have your images saved, and you can save them as any image format, it’s time to start making your movie. Click on the Import Pictures link on the left hand side of the Windows Movie Maker screen You will see the open dialog box. Just browse to the folder where you have your screen images stored, and import them. You can select multiple images by holding down the CTRL key at the same time as you click each file. Below, you can see that I’ve imported 3 images that I will use in this sample movie. I will use these 3 images as the basis of my marketing video. Next I want to create an opening screen displaing the website name, and also giving the viewer some information about the subject of the video. I want a scree with IMOReviews.com and then another screen saying How to make a marketing video for FREE. Click on the Make Titles or Credits link Then click on the first link, Add title at the beginning of the movie. You can now enter the text you want to appear on the first screen, and you can see I have entered IMOReviews.com. I also changed the text font and text size, and opted for a fade in and fade out animation style. You can experiments with animation styles by clicking the Change the title animation link. After you are happy with the first screen, click the Done, add title to movie link. That screen is now added automatically to the storyboard at the bottom of the screen. Repeat this process if you want to add any text to your movie. The only difference is where you add the screen. Normally, add the screen after the selected clip. (Just make sure the last clip you added is the one selected on the storyboard.) I have added some text to explain what IMOReviews is all about, Then I have added some screen shots by dragging them down on to the storyboard. At the end of the video, I will add some credits like you would see on a movie. And here is the final product. A very simple 1 minute video promoting imoreviews.com. You can very easily do the same for [...]
